Books and more...
We are still part of Sheffield City Councils Library Management System and as such you are able to reserve books from any of the Sheffield Libraries for collection at Frecheville. You can still use your existing library card. Call in and have a look around at our selection of books, audio books and DVDs. If you wish to join the library then please call in with a valid form of ID and we will happily process a card for you - it is free to join your local library. We also have a good selection of new books that are on our own issuing system. Call in and take a look at the books with an 'FLLC' sticker on the spine. These books are only available to Frecheville Library users. We are purchasing new books for this system every month as well as adding suitable books that are very kindly donated to us. If there is a book that you want and we haven't got it then please let us know and we will look at adding it to our purchasing list.
We provide internet access via the People's Network. This is free to Library members. We also have a colour printer and a B/W photocopier available at a small charge. We also have a Wi-Fi printer available.
We also have free Wi-Fi, so call in for a drink and bring your tablet or other device.
We provide tea, coffee, buns, biscuits etc to all visitors from just 50p. Please ask at the desk to place your order.
Babytime 10.00am - 11.30am - every Monday (0-2 years)
Knit and natter 10.00am - 12.00 - every Monday and Thursday morning. We also have an evening group - ask for details
Reading Groups 10.30am last Friday of every month - please check with the library before attending.
Writing Group - Every alternative Friday morning 10.30am - 12.30pm - see events page for next meeting date
If you wish to attend any of the above events then please come along, no need to book (if it is your first time it may be worth checking first that the group time/date hasn't been altered for any reason).
If you would like to start a group or if you need a space for your group to meet then please get in touch. We are keen to involve all members of the community so all ideas will be listened to.
We have a small car parking area directly outside the Library.
